About Me

I am a junior studying computer science at Carnegie Mellon University. My hobbies include coding, playing tennis and table tennis, practicing violin, and eating ice cream. I have also participated in the 2014 National High School Honors Orchestra as well as the 2014 California All State Orchestra. My skills include Java, C, Objective-C, SML, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, JQuery, D3.js, Angular, iOS Development, and Web Development.

Engineering Intern

Summer 2017

I optimized the mobile web experience for the cbsnews.com Google AMPs : an interactive breaking news banner, a new content page for videos, and a responsive nav bar. I also initiated the frontend for the cross-platform web analytics dashboard using Angular and Ionic. In my last week, I also constructed a prototype of the CBS News progressive web app.

Contract Web Developer

Jul 2016 - Nov 2016

I converted provided design mockups into customizable web postcards for various Lob clients such as Munchery, Spring, and Chewy. I used HTML and CSS and utilized Postman to test the postcards with the Lob Postcard API.

Full-Stack Web Intern

Summer 2016

I set up the entire backend of a Node.js based website following the MVC architectural pattern with a working caching and cookie based authentication system. I also created automatically generated dynamic offer pages pulled from the Youplus database. Other stuff I worked on include a map of all the Youplus offers using the Google Maps API and custom Wordpress pages and styles.

Co-Head of Technology

Nov 2014 - Feb 2015

I contributed to hosting the student-run hackathon HSHacks II by overseeing the technical preparations and completely redesigning the website and adding new features. I also created the frontend aspects for the iOS app such as the login, schedule, and countdown timer. At the hackathon, I helped manage sign-in and organize dining and snack events.
